After spending four years in the United States Marine Corps Infantry, I decided to study Criminal Justice and then became a Deputy Sheriff in New York State. During my tenure with the Sheriff’s Office, I attended SUNY Brockport where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in History. Later on, I attended Keuka College and earned my Master's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration. I was a Criminal Justice Adjunct Professor at a local college. I spent my final and most rewarding years as a School Resource Officer. After retirement from the Sheriff’s Office, my family and I moved to Daniel Island to enjoy the good life offered by the Charleston area. Being a former Marine and Deputy Sheriff, I know the life of unpredictable schedules, long hours and being deployed overseas.
